He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. Wisser and Elizabeth Wisser (O'Neal); his wife Joyce (Williamson); and his siblings, Robert Wisser and Elizabeth Adams.

He is survived by: his nephews, Ed Adams (Michele) of North Huntington, PA and Brian Adams (Margie) of Pittsburgh, PA..
