He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Thom and Corrine Thom (Tiell); his children, Lisa Ann Morton (Jason), Matthew John Thom (Kelly) and Holly Marie Thom (Tara); his grandchildren, Taylor Vitte and Palmer Thom; his stepgrandchild Shelby Morton; his siblings, William C. Thom (Cathy), Martha Fiegelist (John) and Joan M. Thom; and his close friend Linda Price. He was also cherished by five nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice.
