He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Smith and Pauline Smith (Siegrist); his children, Larry J. Smith and Karen Smith; and his siblings, Wendell, James, Donald, Ralph Smith, Jr. and Betty Deason.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Smith of Tiffin; his children, Michael Smith (Amy) of Tiffin and Dr. Kathy Smith of Grand Blanc, MI; and his grandchildren, Abrie, Ryder, Brett, Chad, Kristy and Mindy. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
