He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Burks and Virginia Burks (Turpin); his son David Burks; and his brothers, Jack and Rick Burks.
He is survived by: his children, Chasity Wagner of Tiffin and Terry Burks of Old Fort; and his brothers, Allen Burks, Joe Burks of Bloomville and Randy Burks of Bloomdale. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
