He was predeceased by: his parents, James W., Sr. and Lois Shobe (Barton). He is survived by: his wife Joan Shobe of Tiffin; his daughter Heather Shobe (Mitch McKeen) of Tiffin; his sister Patricia Hepperly of Findlay; and his grandchildren, Cody, Abigail and Isaha.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Seneca County or to F.A.C.T.
