He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel B. Mayer and Norma J. Mayer (Clouse); and his son Brian Mayer. He is survived by: his wife Roseann L. Mayer of Tiffin; his children, James A. Mayer, II of Tiffin, Dan Mayer (Selena Taylor) of Findlay and Brenda Mayer of Findlay; his siblings, Robert "Bob" Mayer (Kathy) of Livingston, TX, Joann Reinhart (Don) of Carey, Donna Knight (Maynard) of Kalamazoo, MI and Gabe Wagner (Destiny); his nephews, Sterling, Steven Kauffman and Ethan Kauffman; and his niece Stella.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Stein Hospice or to a charity of the donor's choice.
