He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmanuel Brickner and Anna Brickner (Urban); his wife Mary Jo Frankart; and his siblings, Rev. Peter Brickner, Robert Brickner, Emmanuel "Blacky" Brickner, James Brickner, Alberta Czyznik, Annabelle Sieling, Eunice Haward, Marlene SanGregory and Elizabeth Brickner.

He is survived by: his sons, Christopher Brickner (Jennifer) of Leland and Keith Brickner (Linda) of Tiffin; his grandchildren, Christopher Brickner, Jr. (Jackie), Preston Brickner (Lauren Rosenberg), Andrew Brickner (Summer Weinheimer) and Alecsander Brickner (Clare); his stepgrandchildren, Frank Pezzano (Ali), Connie Pezzano, Leslie Reinhart (Rob) and Brad Fatzinger (Adrienne); his great grandchildren, Brooks Brickner, Louie Brickner and Harland Brickner; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Colton Reinhart and Layla Reinhart; and his sisters-in-law, Norma Frankart (Charles O'Neil) of Akron, Irene Belex (Peter) of Warren, Darlene White (Michael) of Columbus and Annie Hartenstein (Patrick) of New Riegel.
