We are sad to announce that on June 20, 2022, at the age of 94, Gene F. Baltes of Tiffin, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Edna Baltes (McEldowney); his sister Rose Mary Raterman; and his brothers-in-law, Tom Raterman, Floyd Fullenkamp, LaVern Bettinger, Jim Phelan, Bill Lovell and Wayne Godbout.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Schulze; his children, Marla Baughman (Steven) of Strasburg, Joan Lord (Jon) of Arlington, Wanda Long of Hilliard, Julia Bennett (Larry) of Columbiana and Robert Baltes (Christine) of Waterville; his grandchildren, Brian Baughman (Christine), Lisa Baughman, Scott Baughman (Ashlee), Adam Lord (Angelina), Elizabeth Lord, Matthew Long (Miriam), Samuel Long (Jacque), Jeffrey Bennett (Jessica), Ryan Bennett, Paul Bennett, Andrew Baltes (Stephanie) and Samantha Spizziri (Jacob); his siblings, Joseph Baltes (Linda), Lou Edna Fullenkamp, Marlene Bettinger, Cletus Baltes (Carolyn), Helen Lovell, Carolyn Phelan and Deborah Eaton (Paul); and his friend Helen Gaietto. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, siblings and in-laws; a multitude of nieces and nephews.
