He was predeceased by: his parents, John McGowan and Marjorie McGowan (Rust); his wife Carol Binder; his siblings, Thomas McGowan and Sue D'Agostino; and his sister-in-law Kay McGowan.
He is survived by: his children, Scott McGowan (Rose) of Austin, TX, Bryan McGowan (Randa) of Medina and Tracey Muniak (Bob) of North Ridgeville; his stepchildren, Jeff Decker of Wind Point, WI and Pamela Decker of Fremont; and his brothers, Jack McGowan, James McGowan (Sandy) and William McGowan (Lisa). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
