He was predeceased by: his parents, George M. Burks and B. Oleta Burks (Dible); his spouse Beverly A. Hunter; his siblings, Donald, Clyde, Owen Burks, Eva Pahl, Mary Latham and Helen Jinks; his parents-in-law, Melvin Swerlein, Jerry Pahl, Les Latham, Ed Berberick and Carol Burks; and his granddaughter Stacy Yoder.
He is survived by: his children, Dave Burks (Mary) of Inlet Beach, FL., Jim Burks (Patricia) of Findlay, Tom Burks (Lisa) of Dahlonega, GA., Lisa Yoder (Mike) of Tiffin and Lynn Miller (Dan) of Tiffin; his siblings, Floy "Sissy" Swerlein of Carey, Lois Wolber (Jerry) of Ada, Virginia Berberick of Findlay, Paul Burks (Lynn) of Upper Sandusky and Fred Burks of Sycamore; and his parents-in-law, Phyllis Burks, Romaine Burks and Mike Jinks. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Family of Faith Lutheran Church and or Promedica/Heartland Hospice and sent to the funeral home.
