She was predeceased by: her parents, Russel Nye and Mildred Nye (Schmidutz); her husband Thomas; her sons, Thomas Elchert, Jr. and Michael Elchert; and her siblings, Dale R. Nye, Doris "Dolly" Luidhardt and Shirley Samsel.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory Elchert of Tiffin, Teresa Moore of Tiffin and Vicki Sturgill Connor of Tiffin; and her daughters-in-law, Deborah Elchert of Apache Junction, AZ and Suzanne Black (Jim) of Tiffin. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
