He is survived by: his wife Violet Hornsby Gardner; his daughter Kelsey Allerheiligen (Damian) of Gallipolis; his grandchildren, Khaleesi Gardner, Landon and Aldon Allerheiligen; and his brothers, Charles Lowery, Randy Gardner and Rick Gardner (Debbie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
