He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald F. Gardner Sr. and Eleanor "Ellie" Morgan; his stepfather Alfred Morgan; and his pet Snickers. He is survived by: his wife Tammy L. Gardner (Peck); his children, Brandon Hopkins (Jamie), Whitney Gardner, Kyle Gardner (Ariel) and Brandi Hopkins; his grandchildren, Cason Hopkins, Olivia Farris, Mara Johnson, Hailey Hopkins, Brantley Hopkins, Arabella Eppley, Valerie Gardner and Alaina Gardner; and his siblings, Gerald Gardner, Jr. (Kay), Timothy Gardner (Sabrina), Thomas Gardner and Anne Barreto (Mark). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home (985 N 21st St, Newark, OH 43055). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
