He was predeceased by: his stepfather Loyd "Dave" Smith. He is survived by: his parents, Sandra L. Thomas Smith of Canal Winchester and Bud Springer (Marty) of Thornville; his son Cody Stephen Springer (Amanda Essex) of Hilliard; his sister Cheryl A. Shaw of Reynoldsburg; his nephew Colton Shaw; his stepsiblings, Kevin Smith of Pickerington and Kristi Helm (Joe) of Canal Winchester; and his close friends, Brian Feldmeyer, Rich Barnett and Eric Schneider. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
