He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Erwin and Florence Heeter (Pfeiffer); his former wife Janet Shaner; his stepfather Charles Heeter; and his sisters, Cathy Harmon and Marie Harmon.
He is survived by: his children, Sandy Harris (Richard), Mindy Pertuset (Doyle), Frederick Erwin (Kristin), Leslie Erwin (Michael Painter) and Pamela Davis (Michael Rounds); his grandchildren, Samantha, Erika, Rebecca, Erinn, Richard, Devin, Carlee, Mariah, Henleigh, Haiden, Raylynn, Logan and Krew; his great grandchildren, Caiden, Ryley, Oliver, Xavier, Coleson and Arielle; his siblings, Wilma Erwin, Ora "Ed" Erwin, Ted Erwin and Mary Peterson; and his pets, Jack, Twinkie and Gypsi. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kirkersville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service (285 E Main St, Kirkersville, OH 43033). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Fred to the Newark/ Southeast Licking County 4-H-Beef It Up Club or the Licking County Humane Society.
