He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Kirkwood and Edith Kirkwood. He is survived by: his wife Kimberly; his children, Tonia Kirkwood of Tallmadge and Michael Kirkwood (Melissa) of Columbus; his stepchildren, Jill Taylor (Ray) of Hartville, Leslie Looney (Scott Brown) of Green and Matt Looney (Andrea) of Coventry; his sister Cynthia Wilkinson (Dale) of Green; his grandchildren, John, Matthew, Emily, Zachary, Alexis, Logan and Lydia; and his close friends, Tim House, Vance Dourm and Paul Dill. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Interment will be at the Tallmadge Cemetery, In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tadmor Shrine, 3000 Krebs Dr., Akron, OH., 44319.
