He was predeceased by: his parents, Claus Emil and Emma Alwine Daufeldt Eggers; his wife Ermina Burgardt Eggers; and his siblings, Karl Heinz Eggers, Emil Eggers and Herma Tulin.
He is survived by: his children, Emil Eggers (Marietta) of Dayton, Hanna Lore Cirjak (John "Jack") of Tallmadge and Mary Ann Luette (David); his grandchildren, Melissa Salsbury (Matt), Jessica Gable (Richard), Andrew Eggers (Christy) and Matthew Luette (Michael); and his great grandchildren, Max, Micky Salsbury, Gianna Eggers, Luke, Dean and Neil Gable.
