Sophie Byrd Obituary
We bid farewell to Sophie Byrd of Tallmadge, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 29, 2025 at the age of 89. Sophie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Homer Dual Byrd; her parents, Anthony Petrovich and Sophie Petrovich; and her siblings, Marie Misner, Mildred Besser and Stanley Lukacevich.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Haines (Dwayne), Dianne Croskey (Jeff), David Byrd and Doug Byrd (Alexandra); her grandchildren, Rachael Haines, Adam Haines, Matthew Byrd (Kate), Sarah Byrd and Jacob Croskey; and her great grandchildren, Henry and Margaret Byrd. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home - Tallmadge (17 Southwest Ave, Tallmadge, OH 44278). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Our Lady of Victory Church (73 North Ave, Tallmadge, OH 44278).
