He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Mackey and Mary S. Mackey; his sister Ann M. Koch; and his brother-in-law Robert C. Koch. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his sister Jane Mackey Barrett (Donald C.) of North Canton; his children, Christine M. (Farquhar), Karen M. Horton (Thomas J.) of Vermillion, S. D. and Edward James Mackey (Renee C.) of Raleigh, N. C.; his grandchildren, Allison Horton Piedmont (Jeffrey R.) of Stamford, CT, William Mackey Farquhar of Columbus, Elizabeth Catherine Horton of Vermillion, Robert Atwood Farquhar of Columbus, Robert Edward Horton of Vermillion, Mary Caroline Mackey of Raleigh, James Edward Earnest Mackey of Raleigh and Caroline Geneva Horton of Vermillion; and his great grandchild Ryan Warren Piedmont of Stamford. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
