He was predeceased by: his parents, James McGarvey and Caroline McGarvey; his son Stephen McGarvey; and his siblings, Barbara Jean Straw and Arthur McGarvey.
He is survived by: his wife Madeline; his sons, Franklin McGarvey (Tina) of Ravenna and Joseph McGarvey of Rocky River; his daughter-in-law Lori McClellan; his grandchildren, Amanda, Danielle, Ashley, Erin and Jolyn; his great grandchildren, Logan, Blake and Rileyann; his brothers, Gary Lee McGarvey (Jeanie), Kenneth Don McGarvey (Ruth Ann) and Ronald McGarvey; and his sister-in-law Betsy McGarvey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
