She was predeceased by: her parents, Patrick McDaniel and Eutha McDaniel; her son Jackie K. Spires Jr.; and her siblings, Ada, Alice, Albert and Clarence.
She is survived by: her husband Jackie Durst; her stepchildren, Kevin Durst and Susan Patrick; her grandchildren, Lauren Euler (Spencer), Seth and Kelsey Patrick; and her sister Patricia Lee. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
