He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Strouse and Daisy Strouse (Pelton). He is survived by: his wife Nancy; and his children, Mike Strouse (Danette), Karen Strouse and Charles "Chuck" Strouse (Stacy). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

The family suggests donations in Richard's name to Olivet Lutheran Church.
