It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard L. Smith Jr. (Sylvania, Ohio), who passed away on May 17, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Catherine Smith Lloyd (Hasapes); his stepfather Hank Lloyd; his father Richard Smith; and his son Richard Louis Smith Haynes. He is survived by: his wife Ann Smith; his children, Stephanie Baker (Tom) of Arizona, Jeremy Smith (Christi) of Georgia, Cory Smith (Jenn) of Colorado, Jessica Smith of Napoleon, OH, Connie Fries (Kris) of Sylvania, OH, Roy Hill (Jenny) of Sylvania, OH and Corey Hill (Colleen) of Sylvania, OH; his siblings, Tom Smith (Tina) of Temperance, MI, Cindy Staton (Terry) of Tennessee and Jimmy Lloyd (Leslie) of Tennessee; and his stepbrother Mike Lloyd (Laura) of Florida. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that a monetary donation be made out to the Parkinson Foundation of Northwest Ohio in Richard's honor or a gift to The University of Toledo, Department of Neurology earmarked PD Research, in memory of Richard Smith.
