He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Ellen Mussehl; his stepfather Edward Mussehl; and his grandparents, Carey Ballmer and Florence Ballmer. He is survived by: his son Richard Carey Geis; his brothers, Ralph Mussehl and Randy Mussehl (Avril); his niece Megan Barnes (Ben); and his great-nephew Mason Barnes.
