He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Gehring and Esther Gehring; his daughter Laura Jean Gehring; and his sister Nancy Gehring. He is survived by: his wife Lavisa Harris (Mercy Hospital); his children, Cynthia Bunch (Wesley) of Lambertville, MI and Mark R. Gehring (Mary Kay) of Portland, OR; his grandchildren, Matthew and Laurel Hanson of Toledo, OH; and his sister Mary Richards.
