He was predeceased by: his parents, John Balcerzak and Pearl Balcerzak (Czyzewski); his former wife Mary Therese Nitkiewicz; his wife Busia Mary; his brother Leonard Balcerzak; and his son-in-law Bob Case.

He is survived by: his children, David A. Balcerzak (Ann), Rose Case, Jean Balcerzak and Steve Balcerzak; and his grandchildren, Joshua Kolodzaike, Alex Case, Jessica Balcerzak, Elizabeth Case and Jonathan Balcerzak.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Toledo Zoo Conservation Fund.
