He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Walker and Janet Walker. He is survived by: his girlfriend Nancy Shaver; his sister Chris Fry (Darrell) of Michigan City, IN; his nieces, Jennifer Bishop (Craig) of PawPaw, MI and Erin Fry-Lawton (Gabe) of Michigan City, IN; his great-nieces, Maya Bishop (Matt Henson) of PawPaw, MI and Willa Lawton of Michigan City, IN; and his great-nephew Miles Walker of Lawton.

Per Michael's love of animals, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Toledo Humane Society, or Doctors Without Borders.
