He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Seiler and Dorothy Seiler (Emerson); his brother Harold Seiler; his former wife Louann; his son Michael Seiler Jr.; and his son-in-law Parker Reed.

He is survived by: his sister Joanne Cutts (Donald); his children, Sheri Schultz (Jeff) and Martin Seiler; his daughter-in-law Sandie Zapiecki; his grandchildren, Sean Bruecken (Nora), Shelby Calvin (Evan), Devon Seiler and Andrew Seiler; and his great grandchildren, Breckin Calvin, Greer Bruecken, Landen Bruecken and Summer Calvin.
