It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marilyn Jean Roop of Sylvania, Ohio, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on October 25, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence H. West and Ebba West (Johnson); her husband Arthur K. Roop; and her brother Robert West. She is survived by: her daughters, Janice Puryear (Bruce), Barbara Pershe (John) and Jennifer Troutman (Bryan); and her sister Barbara Dorl. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Samaritan's Purse.
