She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Wesley Scott and Willie Mae Scott (Truss); her daughter Sonya; her siblings, Rosie D. Taylor and William "Uncle Bill" Scott; and her grandsons, James "Boopie" Pettaway III and Jeremy Scott.
She is survived by: her children, Darrell K. Scott of Toledo, Jameel Pettaway (Yolanda) of Toledo, Velvet Ellis (Victor) of Toledo and Lillie Moore (Robert) of Toledo; her sisters, Johnie Mae Copeland and Rosa Harris of Toledo; her sister-in-law Nancy Scott; her grandchildren, Darrell Harvey, Tasha Scott, Quincy Harvey, Justin Gullatt, Brandon Scott, Wesley Ellis, Victoria Ellis, Wise Ellis, Brittany Mosely (Jarrod), Jaimee Pettis, Mubaarak Pettaway, Jaleela Pettaway, Jala Pettaway, Louis Adisa and ViCean Sample; and her friend Bea Gracie. She is also survived by other great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Walker Funeral Home (5155 W Sylvania Ave, Toledo, OH 43623). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
