John Arlington Nye Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 22, 2022, at the age of 98, John Arlington Nye of Sylvania, Ohio, born in Toledo, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlie Nye and Hazel Nye (Taylor); his former wife Catherine Lucille Turk; his wife Katie; and his sisters, Arlene Tanasichuk and Patricia Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Schlievert (Jim), Terry Nye (Julia), Debra Johnston (Richard) and Rev. Richard Nye (Cindy); his sister Eleanor Hazelwood; and his close friend Sue Willmont. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 9 plus one on the way, great-great-grandchildren.
The family asks that memorials be made to either the Wounded Warrior Project or ProMedica Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania.
