He was predeceased by: his parents, James V. Shindler Sr. and Mary Shindler (Beck); and his wife Rita Rose Gross. He is survived by: his children, Melinda Wagner (Edward), Jim Shindler (Caroline), Christine Alessio (Ernesto) and Angela Flynn (Bill); his grandchildren, Nick Wagner (Sami), Jake Wagner, Thomas Shindler (Callie), Alexis Malone (Joe), Anna Shindler, Danilo, Ava, Andino Alessio, Valerie and Ryan Flynn; his great grandchild Jack Shindler; and his siblings, Mike Shindler (Ruth), Susan Connor (Larry) and Sarah Miller (Denny).
