He was predeceased by: his parents, James Armstrong and Edith Armstrong (Lenz); and his wife Rosa (Smucker). He is survived by: his children, Trevor, Justin (Jaclyn) and Julieanna; his grandchildren, Nathan, Emma and Grace; his brother Ward Armstrong (Karen); and his cousin Andy Screptock (Sylvia).

The family suggests those wishing to give memorials in Jim's memory to consider in lieu of flowers, Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
