He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Armstrong and Doris Armstrong; his brother Wayne; his daughter Mary Oberle; his son-in-law Walt Liska; and his granddaughter Catherine "Caty" Armstrong.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Huepenbecker; his children, Karen Bischoff (Rick), Tom Armstrong (Marianne), Diane Armstrong, Ann Liska, Joyce Hamer (Hal), Susan Malnar (Russ), Janet Stone (Scott) and Sharon Schaffer (Denny); his son-in-law Dave Oberle; and his sister Janet Bowersox. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
