He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Fetterman (Saeger) and Kenneth Fetterman; his siblings, Don Fetterman and Joyce Schwyn; and his children, Dawn Fetterman and Scott Fetterman.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Wood; his daughters, Christa Thomas (Eric) of Lambertville and Paige Hanf (Karl) of Pickerington; his grandchildren, Eric Fetterman, Luke Fetterman (Melody), Nathan Hanf, Benjamin Hanf (Allegra), Abigail Schlett (Adam), Mendon Thomas Wood (Chris) and Scott Thomas; and his siblings, Max Fetterman (Pat) and Debra Langenderfer (John). He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Toccoa Falls Fetterman School of Nursing.
