He was predeceased by: his parents, John Howard and Geraldine Arlene MacKay (Sahloff); his sister Betty Arlene Smith (MacKay); and his brother-in-law James Kenneth Smith. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Raines; his children, Hallis Dudley MacKay, Jason Gregory MacKay, Andrew James MacKay and Ashley Caroline MacKay Simonds (Jasper); his brother James David MacKay; and his grandchildren, Summer, Aiden and Sophia.

In lieu of flowers, tributes to the family would be appreciated.
