It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George L. Winkle of Sylvania, Ohio, who passed away on March 10, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Joseph and Luella Margaret Winkle (Harrison); his wife Mary Jane; and his brothers, Bob and Bill.
He is survived by: his children, Lizbeth Reiner (Jeff), Ann Heisler (Bob), Joan Harrison (Bill Harrison) and Paul Winkle (Emily); his grandchildren, Andrew Heisler, Alex Reiner (Cameron), William Harrison, Caroline Millwood (Zach), Jacob Harrison, Joshua Harrison, Mary Winkle, Ben Heisler, Abby Heisler and Page Winkle; and his great grandchildren, Bradley and Max Millwood.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home (440 S Coy Rd, Oregon, OH 43616). The military honors was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel (440 S Coy Rd, Oregon, OH 43616).
