It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florence Hood (Sylvania, Ohio), born in Monroe, Michigan, who passed away on September 18, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Norman Andrew Hood, Jr.; her parents, Margaret Elizabeth Borer Russell and Antel Astalos; her stepfather Richard Grafton Russell, Sr.; her sisters, Marilyn Compton-Keck and Marjorie A. Roberts; and her sister-in-law Phyllis Poturalski.
She is survived by: her daughters, Andrea J. Myers (late Paul) and Anita Montavon (John); her grandchildren, Tim Murphy, Melissa Murphy, Jeremy Miller (Julia), Shandi Fischer (Alfred) and Samuel Myers; her brothers, Richard Grafton Russell, Jr. (Lisa Austin) and Raymond Louis Smith (Mary Rose); her brother-in-law Joseph Poturalski; and her goddaughter Doreen Compton Slater. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
