He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dr. S. Gordon and Lucille Sloan; his wife Verna V. Sloan; his children, Jeffrey Sloan (Sara), Carol Jones (Vernon) and Holly Rigg (Patrick); his grandchildren, Cory McQuaig (Tony), Ben Blommel (Kaitlyn), Kelsey Sloan, Maggie Sloan, Aidan Rigg, Hayley Rigg and Morgan Rigg; his great grandchild Madelyn McQuaig; his daughter Elizabeth Sloan; his brother Gordon Sloan; and his sister-in-law Bonnie Sloan.
