He was predeceased by: his father Dallas DeVerna. He is survived by: his mother Hazel DeVerna (Keck); his wife Cheryle; his son Devion; his grandson Wesley; his siblings, Donald DeVerna (Barbara) and Linda Blount (Jason); his nephews, Daniel (Karen) and Michael (Stacey); and his sister-in-law Frances. He is also survived by 11 great nephews and nieces.

Contributions to the family to assist with funeral expenses, payable to Cheryle, would be greatly appreciated or may be made in David's memory to the Kidney Foundation.
