He was predeceased by: his wife Rosemary; his parents, Dan and Bess; and also, Bob Seemann (Pat) and Patti Jones (Bob).
He is survived by: his siblings, John (Carol) and Joan Gannon (Lee); his children, Jeff Hammersmith (Nadine), Greg Hammersmith (Mary), Mitch Hammersmith (Sharon) and Anne Hammersmith (Don); his grandchildren, Kelly, Mike, Erin (Andy), Dan, John, Greg, Jackie (Chris), Amanda, Mallory, Lauren, Natalie and Molly; and his great grandchildren, Carson and Vaughn.
