We bid farewell to Betty Jean Hunkapiller of Sylvania, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 17, 2025 at the age of 89. Betty Jean touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Bracken (Alvateen) and Alvateen Bracken. She is survived by: her children, Charles Bracken (Betty) and Terry Bracken (Margret); her husband Edward Hunkapiller; her sons, Larry Hunkapiller (Deborah) and Phillip Hunkapiller (Tami); and also, Lyndsey Hunkapiller, Brad Hunkapiller (Frances), Zach Ludwig (Jami), Luke Hunkapiller, Alex Hunkapiller (Rachel), Bradley, Naomi Hunkapiller, Blake, Jase Zielinski, Leighton and Lillian Ludwig.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice in Betty's memory.
