He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sue Elliott; his sons, Bert Whitmore Elliott (Brenda), Jay Peter Elliott (Patty) and Matthew Scott Elliott; his grandchildren, Bert Timothy Elliott, Paul Andrew Elliott, Kevin Michael Elliott, Peter Thomas Elliott (Jodie), Sarah Suzanne Welch (Mark) and Catherine Anne Elliott; and his great grandchild Leah Elizabeth Welch. He was also cherished by grandchildren and his new great granddaughter.
