It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benjamin Louis Vary Harris (Sylvania, Ohio), born in Toledo, Ohio, who passed away on November 9, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Benjamin Louis Vary may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Harris and Ruth Vary Harris; and his wife Rose (Case). He is survived by: his children, James Harris (Dianne) and Jeanne Davies (Tim); and his grandchildren, Jennifer Widmer (Matthew), Sarah Davies, Tim Davies (Amanda), Rebekah Schwab (Jacob) and Benjamin Davies (Stephanie). He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Toledo Memorial Park (6382 Monroe St, Sylvania, OH 43560).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Community Christian Academy Scholarship Fund in Ben's memory, continuing his spirit of generosity and service to others.
