He was predeceased by: his parents, Issac Shamy and Selma Shamy; and his wife Joanne Shamy (Furfaro). He is survived by: his brother Nick; his great-nephew Danny Dittman; his daughter Janet Gwin (Stephen); his niece Pat Dittman; and his grandchildren, Zachary Gwin and Madeline Gwin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
