He was predeceased by: his parents, Rolland J. and Ruth Opperman, Sr. (Simpson); his wife Phyllis Jean Garman; and his brother Rolland J. "Jake" Opperman, Jr.. He is survived by: his son Jonathan Opperman (Amber D. Fannin) of Findlay; his granddaughters, Jessica Hilty (Adam) and Meghan Opperman (Justin Cioppa); and his great grandchildren, Landry Joseph Hilty and Tucker Lucas Hilty.
