He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilse Cox and Mabel Cox; and his siblings, Jennings Cox, Mark A. Cox, Demaris Peace and Jean Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his children, Mark V. Cox, Michelle Fritsch (William) and Suzy Cooper; his grandchildren, Amanda Miesionczek (Matthew), Matthew Fritsch (Brittany), Andrea Leonard (Joshua), Katie Frazier (Eric), Charlotte Doyle (John) and Kenny Cooper; his great grandchildren, Amelia, Louis Miesionczek, Bèa Fritsch, Vinny, Sophia Leonard, Wolf, Gunnar and Bronson Francis Frazier; and his sisters, Betty Day, Shirley Klein, Judy Smith, Kay Wiley and Patsy Gilmore. He is also survived by extended family that includes many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
