He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Kirk and Maggie Kirk (Ketron); and his siblings, Jasper Jr, Charles Jr., Billy Jean, Daisy Ann and Ruth Ann.

He is survived by: his spouse Jennie Blanchard; his children, Robert (Stacy), Ricky (Lisa) and Melinda (Mike); his grandchildren, Corey, Sam, Chase, Chelsie, Matthew, Brooklyn and Jonavan; and his sister Geraldine Lawson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
