He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Plotner and Bertha Plotner (Allore); his son Bryan; and his siblings, Delano, Gerald and Sueann.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Plotner (Haynes); his sons, Marlyn Plotner, Jr., Kevin Plotner (Becky), Ethan Plotner (Annette), Brenden Plotner (Regina) and Cameron Plotner; and his grandchildren, Kyle (Angie), Andrew, Seth, Jamilynn (Tom), Adrienna, Kenny, Brienna, Gage, Garrett, Gavin, Cooper and Brenden Jr.. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
