He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his children, Rusty Carter (Lynn), Cathy Rogers (John Toth), Randy Carter (Shellie), Pat Brown and Mike Carter (Laurie); and his siblings, Homer Shank (Mary) and Patsy Guthrie (Bob). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, loving family members and friends.
